Accelerate poSitive Clean ENergy Districts
ASCEND, funded by the Horizon Europe programme, is a collaborative project aimed to accelerate positive clean energy districts (PCED) across Europe, enabling cities to become healthier, inclusive and climate-neutral by deploying cost-effective PCED solution packages. Through two demonstration districts in Lyon and Munich, ASCEND seeks to showcase tangible outcomes and best practices that can be replicated in “Multiplier Cities” Alba Iulia, Budapest, Charleroi, Prague, Porto, and Stockholm.

Our role
Twenty is a consortium member and the WP8: Communication, Dissemination and Engagement leader with additional responsibilities within the WP7: Collaboration and WP5: Scaling Up Solution Packages. Tasks managed by TWE include setting out the dissemination and communication framework to reach all the relevant stakeholders and target audiences through suitable channels and networks; engaging with the right stakeholders and audiences to generate a lively community on ASCEND platform to create city alliances across all relevant and interested cities and initiatives; Identifying and using right offline and online communication channels to effectively engage, communicate with and disseminate solutions piloted in Lighthouse and Multiplier cities and enable replication and knowledge sharing, learning loop for cities; Disseminating results of the project via participatory workshops, targeted (scientific) publications, websites, knowledge-sharing events and through networks to ensure uptake and replication.
Target audiences are on three levels: EU/European stakeholders:
EC, EU-funded projects, policy makers, think thanks, research organisations and industry, other project members)
National: policy makers on national and regional level, SMEs and industry, research organisations and
City-level: citizens of cities and districts, local city policy makers, local SMEs and providers.
