SPARCS
SPARCS is a H2020 SCC1 project working to create a network of Sustainable energy Positive & zero cARbon CommunitieS in two lighthouse (ESPOO, LEIPZIG) and five fellow cities (KLADNO, MAIA, KIFFISIA, REYKJAVIK, LVIV). The overall goal of SPARCS is to demonstrate and validate innovative solutions for planning, deploying and rolling out smart and integrated energy systems that will transform cities into sustainable, citizen-centred, zero-carbon ecosystems that offer a high quality of life for all urban dwellers. SPARCS solutions will integrate key factors such as technologies for energy positivity in buildings and districts, flexible grid management, energy storage and e-mobility.

Our role
TWE was the subcontractor in the role of the WP8 leader: Communication and Dissemination, which includes activities such as
communication consulting (communication strategy; multiplier programme; stakeholder engagement; media plan and media relations),
design,
digital solutions,
audio‐visual production,
events
and is equally active in the H2020 overall communication and dissemination coordination.
TWE is also fully responsible for Tasks on Knowledge sharing and stakeholder capacity building across the project, as outlined in WP6 of SPARCS.
TWE is nominated to the overall H2020 Communication & Dissemination coordination board and takes part in the Board of Coordinators of H2020 as well.
TWE organised an online workshop on citizen engagement and PEDs, with high-level stakeholders, such as mission board members. Target audiences are on three levels:
European stakeholders: EC, policy makers, think tanks, research organisations and industry, other project members), and citizens
National: policy makers on the national and regional level, SMEs and industry, research organisations
City-level: citizens of cities and districts, local city policy makers, local SMEs and providers.
